WHY PADI ELEARNING?
Learning to scuba dive requires both knowledge development – including facts, principles and concepts – and dive skills including techniques and methods. PADI Open Water Diver Online uses videos, audio, graphics and reading to help you learn, plus short quizzes that let you gauge your progress and then offers a review of anything you happen to miss. You develop dive skills during actual dives with a PADI Instructor at your local PADI Dive Center or Resort. By completing knowledge development online, you’re ready to meet with your instructor and start having fun in the water.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
After enrolling, PADI’s eLearning system presents you with interactive presentations that include videos, audio, graphics and reading. Short quizzes let you gauge your progress and review and correct anything you might happen to miss. This lets you move through the program efficiently and at your own pace.
WHAT WILL I DO?
Throughout the course you will learn the fundamentals of scuba diving which include:
- Dive procedures and techniques
- Planning a dive
- Confined water skills practice
- Open water dives
You begin practicing the skills necessary for for safe diving in safe shallow water. As you gain confidence, you will start building on those basic skills and learn some more advanced techniques. You will participate in four open water dives, where you will apply the knowledge you have learned and the skills you have practiced to safely explore what our beautiful reef has to offer up to a maximum depth of 18 meters/60 feet
WHAT DO I EARN AT THE END?
You will receive your permanent PADI Open Water Diver certification card, granting you the freedom to explore the aquatic realm worldwide. You are certified to a maximum depth of 18 meters/60 feet and can conduct dives independently with a certified buddy or under the supervision of a PADI professional.
